We also trade in by-products such as super fine yellow maize meal, supper yellow maize meal, snack maize, grits, corn-starch and hominy chop.

Lefa Agri Livestock Farming and Feedlot Operation

Our livestock value chain operations consist of farming cattle and sheep, calve backgrounding and a feeding operation. We raise our cattle and sheep on our own land in the Limpopo province of South Africa. Our calves are pasture raised and grain finished, our lambs grown and finished on the farm.

We source cattle and feedlot lambs from local framers as well as throughout North West, Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo provinces. All animals are individually assessed on arrival at the farm to determine the regime required to ensure they meet our exacting standards. Each animal, once inspected, weighed and immunised gets sorted into unique growing groups. All relevant information about each animal is captured on a digital ID which ensures full product traceability.

We have partnered with local abattoir and companies that have beef and lamb processing facilities to further process our slaughter ready cattle and lamb to meet the growing Red Meat Industry locally as well as internationally.

Our feed comprises of natural products which is largely self- produced which consists of roughage, protein and high quality grain.

We partner with grain farmers to ensure consistent products that meet our strict standards. The various feed commodities we use are purchased from a number of reputable suppliers across South Africa. These suppliers are continually monitored to ensure the highest quality delivered feedstuff at all times.

Our role in the feed industries value chains allows us to protect and promote our clients’ interests by providing them with the latest market trends and market knowledge. We only source the highest quality feed commodities for our customers.
